With the new show launch just over a month away I have finally started some new work. My day job has been getting in the way of any kind of work life balance. I am on vacation all this week and I am treating the days as if being an artist is my full time job. Up at 8 am, showered, dog fed and walked and in the studio by 9 am. Lunch around 1 or when there is a break and done by 4pm or so. I still have a few house things to attend to as well. The majority of the stress and horrendous hours are now behind me. But wait...there's more...It's...TENNIS ELBOW!! Just in time for the holidays. I had a little pain in my arm near my elbow. Off to the doctor I went, and came out with tennis elbow. I've been wearing my arm strap, most of the time, but it will take several months to heal.
Some of the sculptures are getting rather, large with one standing at almost 4 feet. There is still much work to be done and now with the "Pete Sampras" elbow, I will just need to be a little more diligent about getting into my studio. My only worry is that with the economy tanking, will there be any buyers for the new stuff. Meta tags are being added to the site as well and it will be linked to a few of my profiles as well as adding it to deviant art in the next few days.

It's Alive!!
After 6 months of meetings, a little hard work and a lot of thinking and dilly dallying the website is now live without a net. A few days ago I launched www.jasonpickeringstudios.com My web designer Sushuma has done a great job and came up with a lot of ideas.
The work available on the website is a collection of works from past years. A new show of sculptures will launch in Fall 2008 and then a new show of paintings will launch in Winter 2009. The site might need a little tweaking as I figure out how to sell and connect to potential patrons via the internet. Any and all feedback is welcome and will only help to make the site better.

Website Launch
Hey!!
The new webite will be launched shortly. I've been working with a great web developer named Sushuma. He has a lot of great insight and inspiration. The website can be seen at jasonpickeringstudios.com very shortly. The last round of scuptures will be available for purchase and new work will be shown every 3 months or so and will alternate between sculpture and paintings. The site will have an archive of past works sold as well as the weekly blog other wise known as the Gossipry. I am really excited and anxious about the site as this will be my first foray into launching myself into the web world and actually be seen by many people. Check the site soon!!
