And I'm in the show!!

That show is the Vancouver, WA Recycled Arts Festival on June 27th and 28th from 9-4pm, at Esther Short Park in downtown Vancouver Washington. Go to http://www.recycledartsfestival.org/ for more information and check out the other artists that will be there as well. I will have all the new work from the last show as well as a selection of work from the past 5 years. I will also have brand new work that will debut at this show. The new show will then be available on the website. A boy's gotta eat. For those of you in the immediate area I will be making up cards to hand out so everyone will know about the Vancouver RAF. Come check out my booth, check out the artwork and stop by to say "Hi".

Las Vegas

For those of you in the know, I'm back from Las Vegas. This was a vacation trip to spend time with family, even though we are all from Oregon/Washington, we spent time in Las Vegas honoring my father for his 60th birthday.

It was a lot of fun. I saw and participated in a lot of debauchery, spirits and frivilous gambling, but that is what Vegas is all about.

I took quite a few pictures to use for inspiration in upcoming paintings and then on the plane was hit like a ton of bricks with new ideas for new sculptures. I just need to get my hands on some mannequins.

This summer I will be selling new and old work at the Recycled Arts Festival in Vancouver, Washington (June) as well as the Mississippi Street Fair in Portland, Oregon (July). At the Recycled Arts Festival I will be bringing some cheap forms I made from little male torso shells I found awhile ago. They are made of paper. I have been shredding bills and receipts for several months now and now have an idea of what to do with the shreddings.

Hopefully I will see some of you at the festivals if not, check out the webiste after July for new work!!

Hey Everybody!!
I know its been a while and the only excuse I have is being lazy. So on to new stuff!! The little show I had in November was a lot of fun. Looks like I will have to find a new venue other than my condo if I want to have more people over. New pictures of the new sculptures will be up soon. Right now I am working on a commission painting for friends. When that is complete I will start making work for the shows this summer. For summer 2009 I hope to sell at the Recycle Arts festival in Vancouver, WA, Gay Pride in Portland, Or and the Mississppi Arts Festival in Portland Oregon as well. I also plan on getting my work into more non juried shows. New work will be up prior to the festivals so all will get a chance to see it. I will update the new show idea in a few weeks. I will also have small little concrete male torsos, about 4" long for sale at all the shows too. I'm thinking of making them in to wall hangings, as it will be easier for consumers/patrons/customers to display. Hey, all good decor has some kind of artistic male torso hanging about even if it is only 4" tall. Its not the size that matters its how big of a decorating impact it makes...
